What would it be?

I'm compiling a list of small things to ask Lexus to consider in the facelift model of the LS in a few years -- I think it's nice to get started.

I would ask for a more flush / smoother side view mirror control. And I'd like more "truffled" leather inserts on the door.

I suppose you mean pleated leather on the doors? The past LS generations have had them. I think this time around they were going for the "S" shaped smooth look. But it's an interesting idea.

One suggestion that has come up a lot has been the addition of front passenger side seat memory.

Strangely, its on the GS... and not the LS.

I also like the way Mercedes works their memory system, where if you keep holding it, regardless in which gear, it will eventually get to your settings. If you stop half way, it would only go half way. I think its a better approach then only being able to change while in Park.

I also which the windows would roll up when holidn the lock button, just like hwo it works in other regions of the world.

Default Ipod interaction

1. I would like to see the IPod interfaced with the Nav screen

2. Designation of WHICH tire has WHAT air pressure, and WHICH tire is low when alerted.

3. Navigation visuals (no sound) when a phone call comes in (via the nav screen) instead of overriding your nav control.

4. Heated steering wheel all around wheel, not just in the middle of sides.

I am probably in the minority, but a smoother ride. This car seems to have a firmer ride, compared to my 04 LS430. Almost like they made the car more sporty.

I love the signal feature on the Mercedes. If you tap it, it blinks 3 times. It is nice when changing lanes. You do not have to worry about forgetting to turn off the signal after the lane change.

Some people drive for miles with the signal on. It is very annoying when you are driving behind someone and you think they are going to turn at the next turn.

That is the ONLY thing I miss from the Mercedes.

Speaking of MB turn signals. How about the turn signal indicators on the outside of the side mirrors. They save me from an accident when an MB wanted to pull into my lane, if I had not seen his signal I am looking at a fender bender or worse.

The 2008 GSs will be getting them so we may well see them on the 2008 LSs as well. Plus memory passenger's seat, which started appearing on the 2006 (or was it 07?) GS.

New GM vehicles have this too (trucks and SUV's anyway). I was pretty surprised to find out Lexus doesn't offer this when I bought my IS350.

USB Port for like extra storage?
Rather than that, why not offer a user replaceable harddrive?
I wouldn't mind a 1tb floating mp3 hub

Without a doubt it would be to get rid of that ridiculous "idle drop" when stopped for more than 30 seconds. That 1st gear lurch is driving me nuts and ruins an otherwise fine automobile.

As for lexus possibly adding the side-view mirror turn signals, I certainly hope not. From the first time I saw one, I thought it was the most obnoxious thing I've seen on a car since spinning rims. If they do add them, I hope they are optional because I will never purchase a car with them.

No one mentioned about the nanny-navigation/bluetooth lockout or we're just annoyed to the point of not bothering with it anymore ???.......at least when a front passenger is sitting there.

How about illuminated door sills for the flagship?

+ All of those above.

I don't think they should have to wait until the facelift 3 years down the road, they should put the illuminated door sills back in next year as standard for the LS460. Even my SC have them, I won't be too happy to get the new flagship sedan without them

They should throw in those illuminated door sills for 2008 MY for Canadians at least, since we are paying a lot more right now than Americans for our cars . . .

Is that what that is??? I hate that as well. It feels like the parking break came on while stopped, and releases just as you touch the accelerator!!!

1) i hope they will use "black-gate" non-polar capacitors bypass with "musicap" capacitors with the hifi.

2) it'll be nice if they can install "the one" space and time speaker cables.
