Default 2700 miles down, many more to go

Hey guys. I just got back from a trip to florida and we took the LS down there and back. Let me tell you all that wow... we were really impressed with the car. Aside from a little more wind noise than we'd like, for a car this luxury, everything was perfect. The car was comfortable and preformed really well. No rattles or anything like that at all. It was smooth riding all the way down.

We took a rode that had many mountain twisties and the car actually handled them really well. There is little or no body roll and the steering wasn't numb at all. It tightened up at the proper moments. Dare I say it was actually somewhat FUN to push this massive sedan into to the twisties at 60-80 mph. This coming from a kid that drives a GTI. I was really impressed.

The seats were really comfortable and everything was within easy reach. I love not having to take the key out my your pocket, its something that spoils you lol. Brakes worked really well and were able to stop the car quickly if need be.

Well last and not least, the gas mileage . Can you believe this car, with 380 hp, got around 27 mpg consistently on the freeway?! It was amazing and that was at speeds of 70-90 mph. We went 530 miles without needing to fill up and could have still went further since after that much there was still around 2-3 gallons left in the tank. It was amazing. We spent around 44 hours combined on the free way and 4 days with city driving and the overall avg turned out to be 25.3 mpgs. Not bad if you ask me. Anyways, its a wonderful car , we couldn't be happier. If you have question feel free to ask. Just wanted to post an update report.

Maximus it seems that you are really enjoying this fine piece of machinery. I just broke the 800 miles mark and was able to brake the 110mph on the hwy for a minute, it felt the same as going 50 mph. I have also notice the same thing on the mpg, if you are doing hwy driving my mpg is usually around 27-30 on the city is around 19-23 which is much better than the LS430.

Txs for the update, looking forward to a long cross country as well.

Sounds Great. I am approaching 1,000 miles and still am amazed at the way this baby handles. The ease at which it Accelerates is great. The comfort of the seats and the so many options of music makes any long ride enjoyable.

The stares are still coming and will probably grow since people are still finding out about this amazing car. Someone came up to me yesterday and said he thinks the car is beautiful. I agreed and we shook hands.

Good Luck.

Glad you are enjoying it! I agree with your point about the gas mileage and range. I LOVE that!

Just passed the 650 mile mark yesterday. After tennis in the morning, I could see my buddies checking out my car while I was just beginning to bring the elliptical up to speed. A couple days ago, a specialty shop applied a medium, five window tint and the 3M protection. The color is Mercury Metallic with gray interior and Bird's-Eye Maple. I was thinking of chrome wheels but the stock wheels are almost a perfect. This is one awesome car.
