How Many Miles Did Your New Lex Have On It?
This is for anyone that has purchased a new lexus. I am curious how many miles your car had on it when you pulled it off the lot. My brand new LS had 24 which I thought was kind of high.

Some may have been driven between dealers, some driven from port instead of shipped on a carrier, or some may have been test driven lightly, etc.
Personally, I will specify that I won't accept a brand new car with more than 10 km on it when I order one. Both of my current cars have less than that on the odom when I took delivery.

24 miles is not excessive depending on the ...
dealers processing. For example most Lexus will arrive with about 10 miles already on the odometer and some less. We have a receiving lot that is about 2 miles from the dealership. The car will enter the shop and go through a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) after which the technician will road test the car and proceed to the gas station to fill up the tank. At this time we have a separate clean up facility that is about 2 miles away that will clean and detail for delivery and store it until final delivery at the dealership. By the time the new owner drives it away there are over 20 miles on the odometer. No test drives of a sold car are allowed in any dealership I've worked for. (Many)
