The skinny: There are those who say Lexus builds the world's best bank vaults: solid, flawless, unbreakable and devoid of personality. But one analyst who drove the Lexus unflinchingly called the LS 460 "the best car in the world, no question."

There are many categories that make one thing the best.
Best car? Are we talking about value, reliability, bells and whistles, technology, design, speed, power, performance, gas efficiency, etc...???
I can honestly say the LS has its plusses. Best? I'm a Lexus fan and I can honestly say that it is not "the best."

There are many categories that make one thing the best.
Best car? Are we talking about value, reliability, bells and whistles, technology, design, speed, power, performance, gas efficiency, etc...???
I can honestly say the LS has its plusses. Best? I'm a Lexus fan and I can honestly say that it is not "the best."

If I had to choose the Best "Overall"' car in the world, it will most likely be the LS600hL. Would I buy it? No -- it's not the most "functional" car out on the road...
And for every time someone says the LS is the best, someone will always try to use a different category to be better.
"The LS is not the best. The S-Class is far more superior in material quality."
"The LS is not the best. The Quattroporte is more beautiful and powerful."
"The LS is not the best. The Hyundai Azera gets the most bang for the buck."
You can get the idea...

Overall dude, overall, the guy is saying this is the best car in the world. Similar to how the McLaren was crowned best sports car in the world.
I can't agree, haven't driven it yet. But from reviews, it shaking things up like its 1989 again.

I agree that one Lexus vehicle can't be the best in every category. I think it is very close to being the best car in the world overall. Of course Lexus has different models in different categories.
Since we are talking about the LS we can examine this category more closely. In my personal opinion the LS is very close to being the perfect car thus being the best car in the world in overall categories. Price wise you can get much car for your money. We already know about it's dependability, reliability and longevity. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think the LS is gorgeous. The LS is functional and efficient. I could go on but I'm sure when we see the LS in person, test drive it and study it I'm sure we can agree that it's very close to achieving perfection...
