From the side only. The front and back are completely different. Lexus definitely out-did BMW with the nose and tail. Especially the tail. My lord, what a thing of beauty it is!

Only detail that remotely resembles 7-series is rear window angle. And that's the only thing. Remember when first 3gen GS pics came out. Then all the "look alike specialists" said that rear end looks like nissan maxima, front like mazda 6, side like 5-series etc. We all know now that all this talk is crap and that 3gen GS is unique and beautiful.

I'm not in the "lexus copies everyone else club". I think mercedes has stolen a few cues from Lexus, actually. But I think the resemblence to the 7 here is obvious. The front side window angle, the trunk lid angle/shape, etc... are VERY close.

I better shut up or autospies will steal this post and use it in tomorrow's article "Lexus copies BMW".

It breaks new ground for the LS while remaining safe enough for the current loyal buyers. I bet the interior is incredible.

I think they did a damn good job, I didn't expect anything avant-garde. There is a family resemblence yet they all do look different.

With hybrid tech, there is pretty much no reason to buy anything else. I am sure the LS will drive a lil sportier too.

wow what a beautiful car!! I think this design is a breakthrough for Lexus. It's the first LS that looks sporty, classy, elegant, and significant at the same time. Past LS's look somewhat stodgy and conservative in comparison. This car is much more beautiful than the 7 series!!! Great job Lexus! Now I can't wait to see the interior. Please don't disappoint us with some silly i-drive shxt. Show us some interior pics.

The car is fantastic. Very nice. Now I just need to go out and buy some winning lottery tickets.

That concept looks very nice, but not breathtaking. I'd still rock it

Looks fantastic on the platform...there's a 'in progress' link to a video of the press briefing on the Lexus show site, maybe we will see the big unveil soon!

Look at that sheet metal!!! Probably concept-ish body panels, the real LS will look different I guess...all good though!

Windows tinted out...no interior pics!!!
