A 4.6 V8 sounds great.
Thanks for sharing this news.

Read the article.

"News : Our usual sources say a redesigned LS is due for 2007 to cap a top-to-bottom makeover for all Lexus sedans. Significantly, the name will change to LS 460, signalling a 4.6-liter V8 beneath the hood. No word yet on horsepower and most other specifics. However, the 460 is expected to feature a new Vehicle Dynamic Management system (VDM) that integrates antiskid/traction control with Lexus's first "by-wire" antilock brakes. New comfort and convenience gizmos are a near certainty, and Lexus promises more dramatic styling. Word is that overall length is little changed, but that wheelbase, height and maybe width show slight gains. All-wheel drive may be available, perhaps standard."

NICE!!! AWD standard sounds cool. Im all about the Gizmos, however I dont want to see a significant price increase like the GS. A grand or 2 will be fine for me.

Nice!

Now to only see some teaser pics of a new body design. I like the 430's overall package for features and comfort...the body is okay. I think the '98-00 was

This was all speculation (damn did I spell that right) Ive also heard of an LS600 with a hybrid engine that was combined 600 hourse power with a 60 mpg fuel range. In fact I've read that lexus is looking to make all there cars hybrids possible starting with the '06 IS. Again this is all speculation. Lexus is keeping tight lips about everything. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

wondering, is that possibel, 60mpg with 600 horses? well if it is, i bet alot of ppl will be buying it, but i know it will be expensive as crap! but if Lexus does decide to produce this, i know im gonna like it, like every other Lexus vehicle so far

Standard AWD- don't think lexus would go there, would be a bad idea after all were not volvo's or subarys for that matter

i dont see why some or many people think that the LS styling is boring, i think it looks good because it doesnt look anything like the ugly 7-series and the S-class that had the same style since like 2001 but with new head and tailamps, but the styling of the LS 04+ models i like. wish it wont change

I couldn't agree more about the 04 LS style (98-03 were pale) but the 04 is incredible. It is sleek and elegant with subtle hints to its agressive ability. I'm hoping the new GS styling (strikingly similar to SAAB?????????wtf )is just a feeler for design direction, after all it will be the popularity (sales volume) of the new style that will influence Lexus to continue with or change the styling.

Love the classic design of the 430, but the LS460 looks beautiful (I might be bias), the newer LS's look a bit too edgy for me, whereas the LS460 is so proportioned and naturally better IMO.
