Default FS: Rear power sunshade

Got this and don't need it any more.

Fits 01-06 LS430, and probably can be retro fitted onto other models.
$130 shipped + PP fees.

Rear SunShade

Good as far as I know. I've never actually used it/never opened up the screen.

Just noticed you're in Hawaii. $130 shipped + PP fees is 48 states. Not sure how much more shipping to Hawaii is.

Can you install this on a LS without the powersunshade option?

Im sure you could but it probably be more effort than its worth. Anything is possible if youre willing to put the effort and money into it.

yes. I have the front switch for it also if interested. You just have to get under the rear cover. It's not that hard.

To get to it: Pop the bottom of the rear seat up and slide out. Unbolt the back of the rear seats. Slide out the rear third brake light. Then you can take out the rear cover to get to where the sunshade goes.

It's only four bolts (two on each end, as seen in pic) and then plug the wires into the box in the middle.

I tried to get a closer pic of the mesh material in the second pic. Not the best, but I didn't want to pull it out manually and mess it up. You can see that it's very dark black, no fading from the sun as far as I can tell.

Actually, it's not that hard. Takes less then 30 minutes to get the rear seats out. If you have power tools, takes even less time to unbolt everything. Seat bottoms pop right out without tools. Seat backs: lift up head supports, pop out plastic circle covers behind head rest, pop out center cover, and you have access to all the bolts to the rear seat.

So the LS without the sunshade option have a rear deck that already have the opening for the sunshade? Does it also have all the wiring already there? Is it really as easy as bolting it in and plugging the shade in and adding the button?

The rear deck doesn't have an opening in it already, but it is indented where the opening is. All you'd have to do is cut that part out. Don't know if the wiring is already there, I've switched to UL and never got a chance to look back there on the non UL to check for wiring. If not, I don't think running some wires to the front is any harder then installing some wires for a sub/stereo system. I guess 'not that hard' and 'more effort then it's worth' is relevant to each person.

Do you still have the rear sunshade?
