If you fully understand what i is then you would know what the gain is. This is a plug and play ecu no other mods needed (it is not FI tuned) I am selling because It does not work for my vehicle, I have a 1990 and was hoping I could splice in a 93-94 pig tail to make it work.

I know its a plug and play ecu, Im not that stupid. I cant use it eather as i also have a 1990. I am just figured it would help you sell it if people knew what kinda gains they would be expecting if they bought this ECU from you.

im shure people would be more willing to buy it if they had a full understanding as to benifets of this fine gem you are selling, other than thinking its a ECU with nothing speshal about it other than having a MINES badge. people are not gona just drop $500 on an ECU without knowing what there car will gain from it. just trying to help you out.

Don't get all hurt. I simply answered your question as you asked it. As the original post says if you know what it is you know what its worth.

For those that 'don't know';
I run a Mines ECU on mine and there is an awesome difference , first off it takes the rev limit to 7,500 RPM indicated which is probably 7,250 [ 1000 RPM increase ] , it not only changes the shift points in the auto it also changes how it shifts , it shifts a lot quicker and more crisply , not harsh though .
It also advances the timing , leans the car out where it was rich and richen's it up where it was lean .
At a guess I would say at least 30 HP , according to mines it makes a 43 HP difference .
The car is just stronger everywhere and I mean a lot stronger , mine will also light up the rear end from a standstill no probs and I have really sticky 265/35/18's on the rear , above 2,500 RPM it really really goes way harder , with throttle to the floor against 3 other standard Celsiors mine just walks away with ease and in any given situation the car is just crisper and quicker .
Worth every cent .
As a note I have had lots of same car owners ride in mine and they all comment nearly straight away how much better it goes .
My brother in NZ has put a Mines ECU in his 93 LS400 that came out of a 93 Celsior , so they do fit both .

Don't sweat it... he doesn't know himself as to what he bought! lol

Thank you for the post 01LEX if any one would like to try it I'm game to let you.

P.S. I do know what I bought, But I don't over talk items, when you make grand claims people want grand results. I know this will deliver what one would expect from a sport tuned ECU but cant directly quantify it.

So if I have a bad ecu in my 93 ls will this be a good replacement? Or am I way off and not paying attention?

thanks

it should work but this is a performance ecu, not really something for someone looking for a stock replacement. esp. given the fact that a stock replacement can be had for much less. this is really for the person who wants to get a fair bit of extra performance out of their '93/94 LS.

If I wanted the extra performance will I need to do anything else to my car to support it? Sounds like fun

you'd get some performance from the ECU alone but better breathing will always help.
