I bought these for my 2001 LS430. Interior bulbs will not give you lamp failure warning messages, I have LED 194 and BA9s bulbs in my car. Direct plug-and-play. Taillamp bulbs, on the other hand, will give you a taillamp failure message. They are plug-and-play only if you don't mind the taillamp failure message. I have tried using the load resistors, but the message will not go away. Use load resistors at your own risk, they may or may not work.
SMT 7443: These do not fit on the lower trunklid (inside) panels, they only fit on the lower outside panels. The 24 LED bulbs will fit on all four panels, but are not as bright as the SMT bulbs.
SMT Bulbs: SMT bulbs are the brightest bulbs. They are much brighter than their regular LED counterparts and are close to OEM bulb brightness.
1 LED 194: These are more directional compared to the SMT 194.
4 LED 194: These have LEDs on the sides, so they are a bit wider than OEM bulbs.

To get rid of the message , cut the wire on the red box inside the trunk and it will no longer send a bulb out failure to the dash.
If they were white i might have bought them.
Also their is a replacement turn signal flasher unit for Toyota so you can install led bulbs with no issues.
