i have an evaporator too...GREAT CONDITION (according to the A/C guy)...guarantee doesn't leak...had to replace the expansion valve so the guy said while he's in there, might as well replace the core too...looking to get $150 + shipping for it...my brand new one cost almost $500...PM me if you're interested...

Thank you for the offer, we'll keep it in mind. Since the evaporators are available thru AutpartsWarehouse.com for $250 we're trying to get a newer one or slightly-used one, simply because we don't want to have to replace another one within the next two or three years. My dad's LS still has the RD12 system and around here it's ~$400 just to recharge the systemyeah, the stuff is stupid expensive Or he could spend $1400 for the retrofit kit or $8k for an entire new A/C kit from the dealer


**BY THE WAY**
The manufacture date of my dad's LS400 is 1/92. There is a design change at 9/92 so I must have the evaporator from an LS manufactured no later than 8/92.
