The caster bars/strut bars are usually the main cause of the clunking/thumping. Other things are upper and lower ball joints, lower or upper arm bushings, sway bar bushings and/or endlinks, motor mount, rack pinion bushings...

Not familiar with the dynamic handling control...isn'tthis usually integrated with te ABS system? Grand, do you know?

Why did you have a timing belt service performed when the factory interval is 90K miles?

This section is for selling/buying of LS400 items. You'll get a much better viewing by posting similar questions into the main LS400 section.

He's either talking about Vehicle Skid Control (VSC), or the Variable Air suspension. Never heard of dynamic handling control.

Seems the car has something called Dynamic Handling Control so if it is the front shocks
giving the problem are they standard shocks.
I’m not sure what he's trying to say there. But I’m guessing its his strut bars. Stabilizer bars don’t cause a clunking sound, just solid smoother steering/ride. Do us a favor and tell us if you have extra buttons near the shifter, right on top of the PWR/SNOW mode. IF it does, then you have air suspension, but it does not, it means you have the regular suspension setup, there is no third option.
