Did you check the Lexus dealer maintenance history? There's a website you can enter the vehicle VIN and it will show Lexus maintenance history. Did you also check CarFax?

Edit: Have you driven the car? Has it had the lower control arm bushings replaced? Have you considered having a professional inspection?

Check all the speakers especially the rear subwoofer. Most of those are blown and expensive to replace. Also check the steering column for unusual noises when moving it to different positions.Valve cover leaks are also common. Good luck.

I am in search of a 2002 ls430. A lot of them are for sale for a long time, some for 230 days. Most research tools list them as: slow demand.
I also found that private sellers want way too much for their cars. Dealers are interested in cashflow, not monuments on their lot. I have not seen an ad that said: firm price. When you check how much they initially want (say, three mnths ago) it is amazing how much they drop. Of course you have to ask "the questions". Sooner or later they level out and then only condition is what counts
