Question Hidden Menu Settings

Need help. Had an "expert" help me with connecting my new phone in my 2006 LS430. Volume seemed low and he went to some hidden menu he called it and changed the volume. Now the phone shows "Bluetooth connection successful" but I can not receive or place a call over the cars system. How do I get to this secret hidden menu and what should the factory settings be? I think maybe he changed some other setting or maybe the volume change did something. If it shows I have a bluetooth connection why is there no sound either way? Help Please if you can.

Thanks,

ROB:

My old Motorola Droid X Smartphone under Android 2.3 (Verizon) had perfect bluetooth functionality with my 2005 LS430.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 (a superior phone in almost every aspect) under Android 4.3 (T-Mobile) connects successfully on the first attempt 9 out of 10 times, but only receive calls succesfully about 7 out of 10 times.
The phone has excellent 4G LTE connection in areas I'm in.

I'm convinced the new low-power bluetooth implementation in the newer Android phones (to conserve battery life) may be the problem.

For 04-06 models only. Turn car on, hold the option key down, and turn the parking lights on and off 3 times quickly. Can be repeated for additional menus. Turn car off to exit. There are bluetooth settings.

What are the factory settings on that screen in your car? When he tried to do the volume change he pressed the set button and everything went to 0. I know there was a numerical value in that box under the volume settings but now it is at 0 and no sound. If you could tell me what your setting is I can put that in and hope it works. Thanks

Adjusting the incoming and outgoing Bluetooth volume are the first two and the type I don't know exactly. Need to reference the technical manual.

Does anyone have these pages for the technical manual relating to the bluetooth type? The BT quality is pretty crappy on my LS and ive been trying to improve it on my iphone 6. I have a friend with a 07 ES and the BT version/voice quality is so much improved.

Not exactly. Bluetooth came only on the Modern Luxury, Custom Luxury, and Ultra Luxury cars. It was not included on the Base (quite rare - I have not seen or heard of one in the US) or Premium cars.

Base trim never made it to the U.S.A.

They're not rare, they do not exist.
