Default Sound and navigation problems

Hello all,

I have a 2001 Lexus LS430 with mark levinson sound system. There is no sound from the radio or the CD player I presume the amp is dead (I know it was repaired a few years ago). Recently the satnav has stopped working, It either stays on the screen which says 'NAVIGATION' or rarely it lets me click the 'I AGREE' option but then struggles loading the map saying it can't read the disk. So currently the only use for the screen and that whole unit is to control the climate.

As I use the car for a daily commute to work I spend over 3 hours / driving each day hence I need to remedy this as Im sick of using my headphones connected to my phone lol.

In an ideal world I would like to replace the screen with a new double din unit and have the heater controls in a separate console under neath. Is this at all possible?

Other options:
Purchasing a new or second hand amplifier and satnav unit - not many available here in UK
Could I swap in a pioneer system, what is involved here
Is there some sort of hybrid option where by I retain the current screen but have another head unit which can display a video output to the original screen also.

I would really appreciate your advice and guidance on this, many thanks.
