Default Drivers seat blower problems

Hello, Just picked up a 2002 UL to replace my 2002 Base. The drivers seat blower sounds like a airplane taking off and vibrates bad. The seat heater also is not working. Are the two connected? All other seat heaters work so I don"t think its the fuse. Any one had this issue? Thanks for the help.

Search the forum for instructions on cleaning the blower filter.
Won't take you long but will make a huge difference in the effectiveness of the heater/cooler.
Also makes it quieter.

I haven't had this exact issue but the driver and passenger seat coolers never seemed to work. All heaters work though

Pulled the seat blower today. A bunch of the fan blades were gone. Must have sucked somthing up. Does anyone know if the seat heater is on the same circuit? It's not working.

No, on a different circuit...
Attached is a picture of the drivers fuse panel located inside vehicle, directly to the left of your left knee if you were sitting in drivers seat.. the arrow points to the driver seat heater fuse.. D S/HTR 15A
If it's your passenger side heater is not working, check fuse panel on passenger side labeled P S/HTR 15A
If it's not your fuse, post back for procedures testing switch..

If the blower motors are working, chances are you may need to clean your filter underneath the seat. Don't get expectations too high as Lexus has labeled them as ventilated rather than a/c or cooled seats for a reason...

My driver seat heater and cooler work only in certain areas of the seat. Where it works, it works very well. I have cleaned the filter and it still does the same.

Thanks again for all the help. I pulled the fuse for the driver side and the fuse looks good. Can you please post how to check the switch?

Thanks for the response. I actually took the filter out at it was absolutely filthy. I tried vacuuming it and its appearance did not change, but I put it back in and the blowers actually seemed to work a little bit better. So I guess I got some dirt out but most of it is still there. I'll have to order new filters!! (Sorry to steal the forum lol)

Also do the cooler and heater have different filters? I'm curious as to why my seat heaters work great, but the blower is so weak

No filter for the heat, the heat is supplied by a heating element/pad

Just installed a used blower fan. The orriginal was missing about 7 fins, must have sucked something up. Had to pull the seat but not a hard job. works great! Thanks for the help
