I have a low mile 2006 LS430 also. I decided a couple of years after I bought it that even if it did not hit 90k by the time it was 10 years old, I would change the TB/WP at end of 10 years of age. So for me sometime in 2016 I plan to have the TP/WP done.

Now I know why you all praise these vehicles. I've owned gm and ford vehicles and this car is by far the sweetest, stylist, elegant, and beautiful car I've ever drove! I'm so in love with this car I've been staring at it in the garage everyday. Neighbors probably think I'm a strange one but they won't understand lol.

Default 2006 LS430 with 31500 miles

I just purchased this car and I too am concerned about how to handle the timing belt maintenance. The car was driven approximately 3k miles per year. The Lexus dlrship has maintained the car (Charlotte, NC).

In your opinion, when should I replace the timing belt? Is there a way to examine the belt without dismantling the engine. The 06 Lexus has the ultra luxury package which has every option available . The car is in new showroom condition inside and out. Just a car in pristine shape. The tires are still good. The car drives and looks great. It is mica gray with black leather.

Any advice regarding this car will be helpful.

Thanks!

Default About TB service intervals

A very mature lexus tech I know stated if he had my 2004 LS that the first TB will be "safe" to go towards 150k if no water pump seepage.
Any seepage / leaking water pump will need replacement promptly
An interference design for valve train which this is has no forgiveness.

Also consider ( a lexus tech ) will maintain underwood awareness of his /her own vehicle...
I strive to keep awareness high like that too.
