Default Chinese Ebay LS430 Parking Sensors

Hello,

Has anyone tried the LS430 chinese parking sensors off ebay? Here's an example:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-2001-2006...a1a877&vxp=mtr

I am missing a couple and am seriously thinking about trying them. Anyone tried them out? Dealer price is around 350 dollars each in my area. These are around 50CAD.

Guy seems to have good reviews.

It is a lottery. Sometimes they work fine but sometimes they do not work.

My freind has bought recently and everything was ok.

He bought exactly those:

Thanks for the links. I think I'm going to try them out. I can buy 10 of those and still be cheaper than the dealer part. At the very worst they will still give me the same error message. Only annoying thing will be the bumper removal / install.

Not yet. Need to remove the bumper to fix some damage so I think I'll use that time to buy one and make test.

If anyone sees any with part number suffix -J0 (for body color 8P8 - Blue Onyx Pearl), please post a link to it.

I have 2 dead in the front for the past 5-6 years due to rock impacts - 3rd from the driver side and last from the driver side.

I've replaced some of mine with the generic ones after a few were taken out by a chunk of tire on the highway. It's been several months now and they're still working.

Do you have the link where you got your generics from?

I got a sensor to replace but can;t figure out how to push it through the whole? Does it come apart in two pieces? I am afraid to break it trying to pull it apart.

I didn't even think this would be an issue, but this makes a good point.

Anyone thought of applying some sort of 3m "clearbra" to these for just this purpose?

They're just some of the generic ones off of eBay. It's been a while, so I don't recall which seller I got them from.

Is there a way to tell which one is not working correctly without paying lexus a 85% diagnostic fee?
