New 01 LS430 Owner
I just bought an 01 LS430, 1 owner car from Nashville, TN. Car has 218k miles, paid $5,500 for it on the basis that the old man told me timing belt and hoses have already been replaced, but after buying I called him to ask that he finds out exactly when it was replaced - calls back and says in 2006 at 105k miles, a little longer than he thought
So, now car is at Oxmoor Toyota here: $499 for timing belt, $215 water pump, and $65 for drive belt - about $750 out the door with a 10% scheduled maintenance discount. I think it was a good deal considering I had called a local chain auto shop and was quoted $1,300+, yet a Toyota dealer is about half that.
The car is in great condition except stereo screen is blank although the stereo still works.
First Day with it
Decided to chrome-out the black grille (I think Lexus was trying to make sure the "L" was visible)
Just bought 04 LS430 wheels and looks nicer, will take more pics after dealership is done with timing belt/water pump work.

That is a good price... should also look into bearings, idler arm/tensioner and seals...since you're already there... And that is a decent price.
Congrats on your purchase and the price sounds pretty good if it's in good condition.
Welcome to the club and your new ride.

Pole Position
As a former 430 owner, you scored a nice ride. You were wise to get the maintenance done on the front end and it sounds like you did get a nice discount. The front grill looks great and once the wheels are in place, it will become your style and taste. Look forward to more pix. Enjoy!

congrats. amazing isn't it...you got a very luxurious, comfortable and reliable vehicle that will serve admirably for many more years....all for next to nothing... 5500 bucks. Not many better values in the US car market these days.
