replace stock shock or go with coil overs !!
on my way back from NYC - i hit a huge put hole on a freeway like right in the middle of the damn road. back to delaware next morning i saw my back rim was little bent- took the spare out and put on its place. I think that impact messed up on my rear shocks. now this didnt start right away but after a month or so i heard like a soft thud its very soft when i am driving or going over little bumps.
when i push that side down my car car has little more bounce , than the other 3. but i cant recreate the noise..its only there while driving.
so i took it to my mechanic he cant figure anything out- he says everything seems to be ok and it might just the bushing making noise.
I have the 05 sport suspension with 70k on the clock- that being said i like the ride it has the stock 18' chrome wheels on it and they look good.
i was thinking of ordering the stock sport shock from lexus its like 210$ or so shipped. or going with BC coils i think its about a grand and labor
i am not new to lowering the car but i know it comes with some headaches- and i hate the bouncy hard ride-if i lower i might go with 19s wheels nothing crazy offset or drop or just keep the stock wheels.
Cant make up my mind

welcome to NY!
I would just keep the OEM sport suspension thats on there. when you switch to coilovers, all the comfort is out the window. you can add lowering springs and still keep the comfy ride. you can take advantage of Sewell lexus parts and register with your clublexus account to get a discount. but their site is going offline March 1st so order quick.
