Seems like a good deal. Their price might be taking into account the fact the TB needs to be done, so they might not be willing to come down on their price due to that. Be ready to replace it once you buy the car, but you may be able to push it off a bit. See if you can find out about the TSB for the transmission, but I am not as well versed with that issue as others might be. Have you pulled service records from Lexus? That would be a good idea, and a pre-purchase inspection is well worth the money.

Decent price on an 04. Like above, be prepared to invest for the timing belt and water pump.

I usually call a lexus service center with the VIN - ask if they have a few minutes to answer general questions over the phone. Tell them you're concidering buying the car and you're not looking for personal info of course. Ask if from what they see has the car been serviced regularly- you already know the WP and TB haven't been replaced- but has the car been brought in for everything else is definitely a 1st step knowing the car was attempted to be well maintained.

You can also setup a user login on the website as an owner. https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home Change your profile to include the vin# (no you don't have to prove you own the vehicle) you can even enter multiple vin#'s if you're looking at other used cars. The vehicle history is available to you that way. It's not as easy to read and arguably not as complete as what a service advisor can pull up- but it's another way to look into things.

well......with the VIN on the Lexus website you can see any service work done on the vehicle at a Lexus dealership, regardless of mileage or number of prior owners or warranty status. Some of the entries even unwittingly show the phone numbers of the prior owners. Yes, it is very valuable information....even if the website is a bit clunky to use.

Very good price. I paid $6000 more for my 05 with 84,000 miles but mine was just about as perfect as you could expect a 9 year old car to be.

Forgive me I have not read all the posts. Did you drive the car? Did you take it to a mechanic to check it out. Do not let price dictate yur purchase or you may be sorry. Pictures so blurry are a red flag to me.

Thank you for all the great info guys..
And No i havent see the car in person yet , the car dealer is 1 1/2 hour away. From what i know from carfax, the first owner did 60k service, but the second owner didnt do anything to the car. Also the Car is Repo i think...it kinda of raise a red flag for me.
