Default Good price for '05 LS430?

I located a '05 LS430 with 71k miles. Vehicle is VERY clean and has clean carfax (2owners). Loaded wih Navi and ML STEREO. Good Maintenance history but no timing belt/water pump change. Talked dealer down to $14500. Good deal? I assume it immediately needs baselined and timing belt done asap? Thanks for any advice...never owned an LS before but is a surprise gift for wife and our first child due in March.

As long as you can verify maintenance history, think that is a fair price, especially for a 10yo car with pretty low miles...

It's too early for a TB/WP to have been done. You should run the VIN through: Lexus main owner website, ask for printout of Lexus dealer service history, and Carfax.

If everything checks out, then I would think that is a good price... Enjoy. I agree with Tom that the TB/WP can wait.

decent price. I'm tracking these fairly closely, as i'm in the market as well. I can tell you an 04, dark blue, nav, ML, 83k miles, solid maint, no timing belt done, just sold with a list price of 13,900 at the Lexus dealer here in Maryland. So maybe they went lower, not sure however. it was on the market one week so i doubt it.

Would the addition or absence of the navigation and Levinson stereo be a deal breaker? I also found a very clean '05 with 66k miles without navi. The service history is amazing including timing belt done at 60k miles. And it's a Florida car compared to a Chicago car for the other. Thanks for any advice.

I would take the Florida car over the Chicago car every day of the week, even if you have travel costs to pick-up the FL car.

Does it have regular suspension? I have an '05 with sport suspension / non-nav and I'm very very happy with it. Florida car too with more miles and I paid $2,500 more than yours last July. Where is it located in FL?

It's in Jacksonville. How can I tell if it has sport suspension? Thanks.

Too bad. If it had been closer to me I could have taken a look for you. Sport suspension models have a little badge between the front wheel and the front doors.

2 yrs ago I bought an 05 with 72,000 miles on it. It has never broken down, but I have had to replace the tires, shocks, brakes timing belt waterpump, drive belt 5 oil changes transmission service The point is maintenance can be a factor. needs spark plugs soon and another transmission service.
