Well, my base model (or what I believe to have been a base model) had Mark Levinson. My '93 SC400 had Nakamichi.

Honestly I couldn't tell you what the differencedifference is between them.

Wish I could compare, but I'm no audiophile.

The sound in my '05 was Mark Levinson also. The only "base" sound I've had was the Nakamichi in my '93 SC400 - if that could have been considered "base". That was actually before they partnered with Levinson.

Thats bizarre man. I cant believe someone could hit you like that and just take off. Glad to see you walked away from it. Congrats on the new one. Any plans for it or anything?

Besides a couple of interior trim replacements/fixes, I'll be adding a rear roof spoiler lip and a full-length LED mounted at the top of the back window, to replace that joke of a third brake light the 430 came with (reminds me of the one in my first car - a 1986 Renault Alliance). Maybe someday I'll upgrade to 19" or 20" wheels (brushed metal finish - not likely to be chrome). No performance mods planned. I'll save those for the restore of my '93 SC400

It's experiences like this, that are becoming more and more common, that are compelling me to add a dash cam recorder. They are very common in countries where civility on the road is extinct.

Of course, in this instance, a rear deck cam would have been in order.

Maybe ... a "side-swipe" sending the car into a "tail-spin" as you described may have been picked up by a front-facing cam depending upon which way the tail spun, clockwise or counter-clockwise. If counter-clockwise, a front cam may have recorded something. But only you'd know.

Glad to hear your alright. Its seems hit and runs are pretty common now a days. I got hit on a r6 back in December and the guy took off.. spent a week living in the hospital..
