Default engine vibration & shaking issue.

Dear Sir.

Model : LS430 2001.

Recently, sometime occured vibration & shaking and rocking on my car.

I'm opened my bonnet and checked ENGINE. I'm see vibration of engine.

This vibration occured low-RPM and low-speed.

Not occured middle or high RPM. not occured ALERM.

Why happend this situation for MY LS430?

Plase advise to me.

I would check the engine mountings as well as the gearbox mounting

You didn't say whats the mileage on your car?

You may also want to start with the basics... The cause of the vibration may just possibly be rough idling.

Take a look at this DIY https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-cleaning.html to clean your MAF and throttle body. Please pay special attention to the "Idle Port".

But if you're convinced that you do not have an excessively low idle or rough idle, then I would agree that the 2 engine mounts and the rear transmission mount are likely your prime suspects.

Good luck troubleshooting - please update us with your progress.

You are right, the shaking seems excessive. What's your idling RPM? How long ago since you replaced your spark plugs? Are you getting any DTC (error codes)? Did this just start happening recently?

is the car driving any differently? if not then most likely the engine mounts and transmission mount has gone bad. i believe these are fluid filled also.

Aww how cute! There's something about seeing someone trying to speak another language especially when u know what their trying to say that just connects us all as one. I don't know, I can't explain it, it's a warm fuzzy feeling I get that just helps me to appreciate how alike and important we all are no matter where we are on the planet.

To stay on topic, if no codes are being thrown, I'd have motor mounts and transmission mounts checked.

As long as your car is not misfiring then the most logical explanation is the motor mounts are shot. All 3 are wearable items and are usually due between 150 - 200 thousand miles. The rear motor mount (at the transmission) is very easy to do. The front two are a bit more difficult. Do not use aftermarket on these items. They are known to be poor quality.

Well hopefully it's just spark plugs, I've never known a 3UZ-FE to fail!

Just so you know, a visual inspection of the mounts does not help. Mine look new from the outside but they are getting close. The rear mount did not look bad but replacing it helped with less movement during shifts. You would never know by visually inspecting it. The rubber becomes soft and flexible and does not isolate vibrations. This is also true of the sway bar bushings.

There could be a few issues occurring simultaneously.

1) Motor mounts

2) Engine coolant temperature sensor

An engine coolant temp sensor would be the most likely cause of a low idle, which would make a motor mount issue even worse. If the motor doesn't vibrate when you drive ~100 km/h, then it's very likely at least one of those issues.

3. spark plug and IGN coil
=> is ok.(replace all spark plug and IGN coil)

After use a car scanner, found "VTEC system fail" code.

My Mechanic said to me. will replace "OCV valve".

Almost "VTEC system fail" code is can repaire that replace "OCV valve"
