I have a 2003 LS430 with Navi and ML system. I was reading the threads and noticed that some of you mentioned the vaistech option, a GROM option, and saw an Audiovox ooption. Which one works well with the 2003 LS430 and does it give you track and artist info on navi screen as the factory cd changer does not. Any help would be appreciated. Also is it true that the GROM option doesn't work for American made LS430s

There are no American made ls430s... Where are you reading that?

there was a thread under an android interface solution for 2003 LS430 that suggest that GROM's integration only works for Japanese Made LS's

I've got an older Vaistech model that works great on my 2005 ls430 ML; not sure if that is the same version headunit in your 2003 but it displays track and artist, but often track is abbreviated due to character limitations on the OEM interface. The one I've got is direct connect to ipod / iphone though, not bluetooth like the newer ones.

I installed the GROM unit a month ago, and so far it works perfectly.
