Decided to go with Pirelli P7 for my LS430

Newer isn't always better, but all the indications are the Premier is better. There are several members here specifically and with LS430s specifically who have made the switch and said so.

If anybody wants another option I just had a set of Toyo Versado Noir's installed on my GS this afternoon. So far, so good. The Primacy MXV4 and the Premier don't come in my size, so my comparisons were to the Primacy MXM4 which is what came OEM and I was happy with. These were $400 cheaper installed...
Cheaper than the Pirellis and my shop was out of stock. These have a 45 day ride guarantee so we will see.

My brother got a highly rated Pirelli on Tire Rack and loves them in a 17 I think for his Subaru.
Any guess on how many posts we will rack up on a Primacy Premier Pirelli banter?

SW13 you say many others have switched to premiers for their LS430 and are happy.....why arent they posting here? Where are they posting their results?

I don't know, the topic of the thread is the P7 not the Premier, could be why.
I searched for the Michelin Premier and I found several threads on CL.

I heard that. I traded my old 2004 LS for a 2010 LS460L and HATED it. Traded back 8 months later to another 2004. Newer definintely isn't always better.
But the Premier seems to be the real deal. My initial impression is that the Premier is better than the Primacy. I don't remember my Primacys being to smooth and quiet, and the Premier even seem to handling better. Very happy.

Brother loves his Perelli, my Touareg Forum folks thought the Pirelli Scorpions where sweet not the best lasting but what tire lasts on a Touareg. I think a high end Pirelli, or Michelin is worthy choice and the lil indiocincy's are subjective.

BOB well I love to hear that the 04 is one of the nicer LS430's Mine is new to me and has 130k on it.....It was a big investment for me especially since i did all of the maint and tires so she would be good for a while. I was just reading on the other tire thread....someone traded in their 07 to go back to an 04 and is happy again..... Anyway.....I was reading some of those Premier threads and very few positive replies.....one whole thread was all negative........the main complaint is the same complaint about the MXV4s.......when the Premiers hit rough pavement the road noise is way too loud.....thats the reason I went with the P7s.......I kept reading that same issue over and over..............Also the reason I missed those threads was they are not for the LS430s........Yes they are on the CL site......but for me to make a decision on a tire....I have learned......learn from people with the same car. For example if u read tire rack reviews of the MXV4s....they get a lot of just ok....and some bad reviews for other cars....but u will notice for heavy sedans and the ls430 the MXV4 got great reviews......even when comparing say a camry to and LS.........u have to go apples to apples.....the LS is a beast..............
One of these days someone will through some P7s on so we can get some more info other then just me.......I still think my P7s are as good if not better then MXV4 and Premiers.....I will never know because I cant just go swapping tires........I have yet to find one other person with an LS that has installed the P7s.......not sure where to research I guess.........And honestly at this point Im satisfied but trying to help others make an educated decision....it was a huge decision for me.

I had several sets of Primacys on the ES (03 and 10) and the LS430. Equally happy with them on both.

im so confused
Im so confused......now out of nowhere comes a great thread about Premiers.......

How can one group do nothing but complain about road noise on non smooth highways......and the next group all say its the best tire ever and never mention the road noise.........could this possibly be a geographic scenario? Roads in diff parts of the country constructed differently?
I have no idea......nice to hear all the positive reports on the Premiers

The same exact model of a tire can feel and sound completely different on other car models even if the cars are similar weigh and size.
