2003 LS430 Key Fob Shell Damaged
Hello,
The shell of my key fob for my LS430 has cracked at the retaining screw. It is now disintegrating further and I have done my best to tape it together with duct tape.
There is no damage to the key shaft itself or electronics inside.
Anyone know where I can get a new one relatively inexpensively?
Thanks!

If you are budget conscious, I suggest you try lowpricekeys.com. I bought 2 key shells from them for $17.95 each which includes shipping and tax. You just need to provide you keycode as they will cut a new blade and all you do is drop in the electronics. If you don't have the code, you can get it from the dealership parts department with proof of registration. The key shell is stronger than OEM and is made by a locksmith. Good luck.

The Eternity key is a very nice key, well constructed and hefty. No doubt it will last a lifetime. I last saw it for $129 at the dealership.

The keycode is written on your valet key cover if you still have that. Otherwise just show your car registration to the parts department and they can provide it to you. They need your vin number and proof you are the owner. There is some paperwork to fill out before they can provide to you as it is a new law. I just noticed you're in Canada so I don't know if the keycode is universal. You can contact the seller and ask him that question. Good luck.

I did the cheapest method I could find, 7 months later, still works fine with no cracking.
Something like this, each key was $5-7...Picked up 3 of them, only need one all the time.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Remote-Keyless-Key-Case-Shell-Replacement-For-Lexus-ES-GS-LX-SC-LS-430-470-/151390351180?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ALS430&hash=item233f916f4c&vxp=mtr
Called around to local locksmiths to see if someone could cut car keys (need to be a little detailed on the key type), after about 4-5 places, I found someone who could cut Lexus keys (go by the phone book or local bing/google to find). Took the 3 keys down with my broken key (no FOB), took a few days, got them back, took the FOB/buttons out of the original key (one screw). This cut cost $15 each.
Now, I have a perfectly looking key, not broken and 2 spares for less than the other options out there to get 1 key. If one breaks by chance, I have a extra cut shell ready...
You were asking for the inexpensive way to fix it, this is about the cheapest way to do it, with them looking original, not a 3rd party knock off..

The two other Lexus owners are correct the Eternity Key is a hefty key. It is stronger than anything on the market it is made of military grade material and will be the last key you will every have to buy. Go to our website www.eternitykey.com and click on video, and you will see what I am talking about. Then click on order/order now and you will see a list of Lexus dealers in Canada that offer our Eternity Key.

Take photo of your key.
Hello, am I missing something here? Several years ago I took a picture of my key and emailed it to someone in California. (I found the contact on this site.) Few days later I had two new keys all cut for me. Just had to install the guts from my old key and everything work fine. Is this no longer in fashion, or available?
Strange that nobody has mentioned this.
It worked very well for me.
