Default Ouch! LS 430 totalled

Here's a pic of my 2nd(and best) LS430 after a/n ***___(insert choice word here) rear ended me in 2010. I'd only had it for five years and was really enjoying this car.
At a traffic light minding my own business and BAM! Law enforcement officer said the car was thrown 30 feet after impact. I didn't know that until LEO told me because I blacked out. The construction of the car protected me well though. It was a sad day for a Lexus owner.
Insurance company totaled it and did me right.
I'm in an identical model sans navigation and continuing to enjoy Lexus ownership.

I know your pain. Some guy hit me in my LS430 last weekend. So painful seeing your baby that way. I'm still waiting for an estimate to fix it from the local lexus dealer. Hope you get another 430.

Ref blacking out. That means you suffered a concussion. Not to be ignored, as it's a big topic in the news media now in the sports world. Just because you might feel okay now, doesn't necessarily mean you didn't receive an injury. Be careful in signs any release agreement at this time.

Glad you found a good replacement. Sucks that inattentive drivers cause others so much grief. I hope that this wasn't some cell phone-texting scenario.

Now that was funny .... I was thinking this exact same thought !

Getting hit from behind is one of my biggest fears when driving.

On a serious note, glad you are OK. Sorry about your car. And if you were knocked out, get yourself completely checked out and get a lawyer a sue the moron who hit you. There is NO excuse for hitting a stopped vehicle.

Sorry this happened to you. Listen to what others said. I was rear ended about 10yrs a go. A big white old school Lincoln Continental with a little old lady driving....crushed me!!!! Well.....I did it all wrong....did not file charges on lil ole lady......I also did not go to hospital.....I did not get a lawyer. Good people just dont think that way....Well this good person 10 years later has sharp shooting pain down his neck when working on computer or watching TV.........back pain.....etc. Im living with my injuries but it really sucks. If u research this scenario most experts will tell u to get a good lawyer.....they will guide u through the process. My neck would still be hurting....but I would have a little retirement fund in the bank.

@Dockof-Bay... Those crumple zones did their job well.
@jayclapp...Thanks. I did get an attorney and let the legal eagles do what they do best.
@RA40...The clown that hit me had a DUI conviction device on his vehicle. I'd never seen one(and wasn't looking inside his vehicle) and the LEO saw it and asked him if he'd been drinking. Of course he denied it. Guess what? After the LEO left this clown produced a bottle and asked me if I wanted a drink! Some nerve. Middle of the afternoon too.
Bottom line, I'm in another LS430, identical model and I believe the only pain(other than the loss of a great car) is some memory loss. I stay in great physical shape and that helped the rest of my body.

I betcha if you had taken that drink he offered, he'd have called the LEO and had him give YOU a breathalyzer test.
