Default When paint work is needed, does Lexus provide the paint mixture?

Just as the title says, if my Lexus got keyed or something that required a respray, would Lexus provide the paint mixture to the body shop? I mean paints with metallic or pearl effects to them must be so easy to get wrong and I will not tolerate driving a car with different shades of gray on it. Are the darker colors like Flint Mica or black easier to color match than the lighter colors?

All of the paint colors have codes that give you the exact mixture.
After handing them the code I think they can order it in respect to that.

Lexus doesn't "Make paint"...the magic is in the person(s) you hire to work on your car.

Most body shops have 2 choices, either mix the color from the factory code or use a computer based "gun" to read the color currently on the car. This is good because if the car has been in the sun for years the color shifts a bit and when they shoot fresh paint the color ends up being off.
I would talk to a few local shops you like that do high end cars and read their reviews online, for example on Yelp to see if the customers are happy with them.
Most dealers outsource their body and paint work to a local shop they have a relationship with. Little done in-house these days. Your dealer night recommend a good shop they like too.

Yea, back when I used to have my mercury metallic LS. I had an accident rear passenger door.

The shop contacted Lexus for the color code and then they made the mixture at the shop using some color grade tools which I know little about. Door looked actually very good after they were done, keeping mind that silver is a really hard color to match. Especially with the pearl.

And when shooting pearls / flake paints etc, matching is not just about the right color, it is about the right technique. They will definitely have to feather and blend the paint to get it looking acceptable.
