Default Possible 430 Purchase

Hi everyone. I currently have an ls400 with 132000 miles. I have owned two ls430s in the past and they are awesome. I have my eye on an 01 LS430 with 135k miles down in Austin. It's a one owner car with 135k miles. Maintenance records look good online, and on the Internet it looks nice. Price is 7100. Good buy? Anyone in Austin wanna check it out for me?

stay away from this one - I test drove it in August,
- CEL comes on 5 minutes into the test drive
- felt pretty loose - might have been worn out strut mounts
- inside pretty rough
- I think it was a smoker car

hope it helps - definitely better selection in DFW or Houston

I have been looking for one myself for over 2 months now - Austin dealers don't keep older cars like that, saw few in San Antonio and Houston that war traded-in in Austin and sent to auctions.

I ended up buying mine in Fort Worth last weekend

I just looked up the car online. One thing I noticed about the pictures is that they are not showing any photos of the wear prone areas like the drivers seat, bumpers, etc. The small selection of pictures are all far away shots.

Bummer. Well I liked it from afar. Still looking for a 430. Don't want to spend more than 7500. Mission most likely impossible?

At 7500, it's really slim pickings. I'd personally keep the 400 unless your budget changes.

My dealer gave me $7500 in trade on my 2001 430 UL with 175K miles on it when I bought my 2006. I think you are gonna end up with a car with high miles and just ok history at that price.
