time to replace shocks
My 2005 LS has 102,000 miles. The shocks were inspected and are not leaking but driving on city roads, I now notice when the car hits raised sewer grates and other road imperfections. It used to go over these silently. It is not horrible and I can live with it, but I know the ride is not as smooth as it was 4 years ago when I bought it. Luckily it does not have air suspension.
100,000 miles is pretty good in a city, I think. What is the life expectancy of the OEM shocks ? And is there a better option ( cost and comfort ) over buying Lexus OEM shocks ?
Thanks

I spoke to the dealer and they do few shock replacements. My last one went to 200k and I noticed some wierd tire wear with perfect alignment around 150k. This one I have I am replacing at 150k leaking or not.

my dealer replaced 1 shock at 85,000 miles. it was leaking. cost was over $400. I thought shocks were sold as pairs, but at $400 I didn't say anything
