Hi,

I previously owned a 1998 LS400 for over 12 years with 220K miles until I got rear ended. The car was declared total. I proceeded to buy an Audi S4. My commute to work is 42 miles each way and I don't want to put 20K+ miles on my S4.

I am looking to buy a reliable LS430. I have seen some 2001 LS430 Ultra on ebay for around 8k to 11K. I was hoping what a good price would be or should I get a LS430 after 2001.

Thanks
Mad

I am actually considering selling my LS and buying an S4 after driving my friends to the golf course last week.

Why don't you want to put the miles on the S4 ? Very curious due to my interest in replacing my LS with one.

What year s4 did you pick up? I remember the older turbo ones were a blast to drive but had more than a few issues and reliability concerns once modded or high mileage. The all motor v8 ones were bad *** but some had carbon build up problems. I had an 04-05 s4 in that bright blue in a 6 speed I drove for awhile as a demo when I was selling cars.

I picked up a brand new 2014 S4 last September. I've put 10k on it going back and forth with my mdx to work and weekend driving. I prefer having my mdx for long trip and not use it for work. That why I was thinking of getting a ls430. I always loved driving my ls400 before it was totaled. I was thinking of going back and forth between my s4 and a lexus ls430 for work. I plan to keep the s4 for a long period as I kept my ls400 for over 12 years.

I am also thinking of the sc430 since I have never owned a convertible before.

I don't want to put 20k miles on the car. This is kind of my fun car. I know the LS is my tank and ver reliable. I figure if I had these two cars. It'll last me the next 10+ years
