Default Clearing A/C Filter Warning light

After replacing the A/C filter behind the glove box, how do you clear the A/C filter warning light that comes on (and then goes away) when you start the car?

Hey friend, I just recently replaced mine. Make sure the car is off but turned on the "ON" position. Press and hold the off button for about 5 seconds or so. If you do it right it will show on the information display that it has been reset.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that message comes on after xxx many miles.

Sort of like my ES330, the maintenance required light comes on about every 5k miles signalling an oil change is needed. Completely useless IMO.

Yes believe it's just a mileage setting light for the filter. That reminds me I have to order a filter and clear my light this week.

For the 2004 LS430, the maintenance-required warning light is triggered by any of the 15 items on its "Maintenance" screen. These include, Engine Oil, Oil filter, Rotation, Tire, Battery, Brake pad, Wiper, LLC, Brake oil, ATF, Service, Air filter, and 3 personal items. You can enter the service/replacement dates for these items individually and the number of miles after which you want to be reminded for the next service/replacement. To access this screen, press the "Option" button to the right of the GPS display, and select "Information", the "Maintenance" on the screen. Once any of these items is due, you will receive a maintenance-required warning light. To reset the light, you should first update the data (service date) using procedures described above, and then perform the following steps:

Step 1: Push the “ODO/TRIP” button to change the display to blank.
Step 2: Turn the ignition switch off.
Step 3: With the trip meter “RESET” button held down, turn the ignition switch to “ON” (without actually starting the car)
Step 4: Keep the “RESET” button pushed down until you hear a warning tone (takes about 5 seconds).
Step 5: Turn the ignition switch off and then back on to confirm the light has been reset.
