Mobil 1 Ep info found to support
hi everyone, if anyone read my posts on mobil 1 ep vs mobil 1 and comments about competition i wanted to update with info i found. i have been talking about how i feel mobil1 ep for the money is the best oil out there for protection i use it for about 7500 with a standard oil filter. originally how it all started with a search for better oil is i was using mobil 1 in my 98 ls400, after about 3k i would notice more valve chatter believe it or not going thru a drive thru and hearing the motor sounds crazy but i am a car nut and hear everything. switched to mobil 1 ep and had no issues with change in oil till about 7500 miles
i found an advertisement for mobil 1 ep from my may 2005 car and driver, below is what it says how it differs from mobil 1
Packed with 37% more cleaning agents, 36% more anti wear additives, and 50% more Super sun
for 28$ a 5 quart jug at walmart hope everyone has pulled some positive from my posts,
as a disclaimer don't know since the car and driver post if they have changed the mobil1 formulation to make it better and the percentages have changed, but for the real low maintenance owner if you use a synthetic oil filter and mobil 1 ep you can go 10 or 12k with no issues
safe drivving to all

I also use Mobil 1 EP. I change every 10k with a new filter and top off every 5k. Have done this for years on cars, but on bikes like the 2002 Goldwing 1800 where it goes for 6k and new filter at 3k.

This oil partnered with the 3UZ is the cat's meow .
This oil can easily go over 15k miles and there are some oil analysis on bobistheoilguy forum to prove it with the 2UZ.
However, I am a fan of the OEM filters (90915-20004), mainly due to my faith in the antidrain back valve instilled by Toyota engineers. Talk about standardization. I run this same filter on my 78 FJ40, 99 Landcruiser and 06 LS 430.

might as well get the best for least that was the point of the info,
other synthetics have negative attributes, or i would be using pennzoil ultra, i choose mobil1 ep because i am discriminating and has the least of amount of negative issue,
enjoy
