Default Just bought my first Lexus! (02 LS430) What color is it?

I've wanted an LS for probably four years and finally bought one. It's an 02 LS430 with 103k and the modern luxury package. I bought it wholesale at an auction in California (I work for a dealership) and now I'm waiting for it to be shipped to the Pacific Northwest where I live. Carfax was clean with lots of maintenance history and the interior and exterior look like they have been well cared for. One question I have is what color do they call this? It looks to dark to be millennium silver, not blue enough to be platinum blue pearl, and not green enough to be mystic sea opalescent. Any ideas?

Looking forward to being part of the community here!

Platinum Blue Metallic / Pearl. Congrats on the pickup. How much was the auction price if you don't mind telling? It's an interesting color. Like half blue half silver.

That's how I was leaning until I saw more pics of Mystic Sea Opalescent. Starting to think it might be that. To be honest, once you buy a car at auction price, pay shipping from CA, buy fees, and internet fees, you don't save very much over what it would retail for. You save some money but the real advantage is having a massive selection to choose from all with detailed condition reports. It beats the hell out of wading through poorly written craigslist ads.

Mystic Sea Opalescent for reference:

The white balance of our photos is not consistant, especially in the first 2 pictures. I think the first and last make it look greener than actual color

when you get the car, the color code is printed on the VIN number... use that to look it up online. Should be easy to find.
Congrats on the new purchase. Vehicle looks great. Enjoy the ride.

Congrats on the pick-up! great looking ride. Throw that vin# into Lexusdrivers website, it should list everything about the car.

Maybe you are right. The Mystic Sea Opalescent looks much darker in the color swatches but looking up other cars its very close in color.

Wow, Marklous. That's the coolest!! There were tons more service records available through that link than I saw on carfax. Shows that the T belt was already done which was one of my biggest concerns. It also verified that it's Mystic Sea Opalescent. Thanks a ton!

That looks to be a custom luxury package judging from the washers on the front bumper. Don't think that was on the ml package.

Holy moly this is awesome!!! I've been trying to get service records from the dealer I bought it from, so I was skeptical they even had them. However after using this site it shows over 9 pages of maintenance!! It looks like this was all done at Lexus of Santa Monica. I guess a wealthy older guy had owned my car.

thanks a ton!

Glad it helped! I used this site when I was shopping for both mine. I was able to weed out a bunch of potential future headaches
