Totaled my Ls430
Ok so I totaled my 2004 LS 430. Someone rear ended me. Now I'm trying to sell the car. The interior was literally in show room condition. Does anyone know companies that would be willing to buy it? I'm trying to get more than what the insurance is saying the salvage value is, which is about $7700. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Insurance is like that, you can negotiate if the value does not seem fair for the condition. They want to keep as much $ and you want more $, somewhere between. A company that buys it is going to take it as a salvage and you'll not get even $7K but more like $3-4K.
Presuming $7,700 is fair for the miles-condition, ask them for $8.2K then haggle.

Hopefully you are ok . i would get a lawyer asap and not speak to the insurance company at all. Sometimes it can take days for neck and back injuries to bother you. what color was it and what color is the interior ? I would gladly buy the front passenger seat if it's black perforated leather . can you post pics of the damage ?

If you don't have personal injury a lawyer does not make sense. I would put together your case and research. You should show all your receipts, Edmunds and KBB value, search auto trader within 75 miles and find 04s with the same mileage range. If you put together all the documentation showing your case the insurance is more likely to give enough more.
Sorry for the loss by the way. It always sucks.

If the salvage value ($7,700) is less or if I can sell it "as is" for more than $7,700, then that's more for me.
Hope this adds clarification.

Man, I wonder if you can find the salvage shop and buy it back after you clear $18K.....I've done that a few times for electronic equipment "damaged" in losses (fire/water)...
Just a thought if you're feeling spry :-)

I've since replCed it. My first LS430 had the dark gray (black) interior. I always thought this color looked best. This LS 430 I just bought ($8600) before taxes and fees, has the light gray interior. I thought I'd hate it.........I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!! Especially sitting in the rear looking forward it has such a princely, bejeweled elegance to it. this is now my new favorite interior color.
