Question What Rims should I get (White Ls430 03)?!

Hey everyone! I haven't been on the forums in a while, but now im back! I want to finally throw my car on some coils (and hopefully further down the line some bags!). I have a white Ls430 from 03. Everyone please help me find rims I should buy for my car. Im trying to spend under 2000 on rims, but don't know what route to take.

under 2 grand get some Vossen wheels , next step down would be something like some Roderick or MRR wheels. Check ebay for prices and then contact a vendor or two on here to actually order

Personal taste plays a big part. This can be as simple as buy some wheels and put them on but keep in mind this is one of the base parts on modding the car. How low, how aggressive a fitment and what you desire for everyday driving.

The two threads stickied at the top show many options of members cars here. A nice perspective from varying styles over the years as tuning changes. Find one that you like and you can duplicate it or blend styles that appeal to you. If you are within range of a Japanese book store, VIP Style or VIP Car are JDM mags to look at for ideas. Might even post up a WTB in the classified for these mags as many will have back copies they could unload.

You Tube also has a wealth of videos for Vip Celsiors.

wheels are one of those things that you will have to choose on your own unfortunately

My advice would be make sure u buy a 3 piece wheel, they hold value well and most likely u can get all or most of your money back when u sell, also they arte easily customizeable.

Aside from that pick a design you like

Three piece wheels are great, however I would recommend if you into a multi piece wheel

a 2 piece wheel would be a much better choice and more durable as well.

Im not sure how you determined that a 2 pc wheel is more durable than a 3 pc wheel.

I was going to also ask the same question but then said why bother, my guess is he sells 2 piece wheels.

But since im here I would like to ask why a 2 piece is the 'better choice' over a 3 piece, cause I cant think of even 1 reason.

personaly, i am more on the performance of the wheel versus appearence. light weight wheels allow more spirited driving. they reduce unspung weight, which in turn improves ride quality, lowers brakeing distance, better acceleration, and many other things.

yeah, I wasn't going to say anything at first either, but did because its a ridiculous statement and I would love to hear the rational.

First off, to generalize is incorrect. There are BS cheap wheels at all levels. That being said, most 3 pc wheels are forged.....lighter and stronger than a cast wheel. Outside of that, they give you the ability to replace lips when damaged, and the ability to play with sizing and offsets as your needs or desires change.

IM not saying there are not high end 2 pc wheels, because they do exist.....im just questioning the general statement.

But what do I know.....
