First car..
Sup everyone! New member here just looking for some friendly advice. Originally I had my heart set on a second generation LS400. It was the only car I wanted for months. But now that it is time to buy a car, everywhere I look there is not a single "good" condition LS400. So I expanded my mind a little bit and I was really impressed with the LS430 after doing some research of my own. I am going down to the dealership to check out a 2002 LS430 with 52000 miles on it. From looking at the pictures everything looks to be in good condition. I am not getting my hopes up. I have read that the LS430 is one of the most, if not the best luxury car of its generation. Reading multiple reviews on this website has shown me truth to that. My overall goal is to turn the 430 into a somewhat VIP style car. I don't want to do anything crazy. Just new suspension, rims/tires, and good fitment so it looks clean. But other than that I want the car to be stock. So I guess my question to you guys is: would you recommend this car for a first time car owner? I also had some questions about my suspension setup. I was thinking of going with Tein CS coilovers, once I install that, can I just lower the car to where I want it? Or are there other variables to take into consideration? I know that once I go past about 1.5 inches I will need a camber kit, but besides that can I just install the coilovers and get it to where I want? Will I need to replace the shocks or struts along with the coilovers just to be safe? I have read that if I change the suspension, noise will be really noticeable inside, and it won't ride as "smooth," is this true? Thanks for any advice given.

i got my LS when i was 18, so not quite my first car, but anyways, i did what you want to do. Bought a car i know is awesome and reliable and all that, and just lowerd it a bit, threw some wheels on. trust me, building a car like this, that is respectable is way cooler than trying to build a fast car when you are this young, wait a bit to build a fast car so you can have the funds available to do it right the first time. Heres a photo of my LS, as you can see, simple, but fun daily driver.
