Hey Guys,

Any details on the sunshade fix for those of who have this same issue in the future?

Glad to see another person wrenching on their ls430 trying to keep them as nice as possible.

My sunshade would partially open because fabric was not secured to the frame. It would open and get stuck.

I simply reattached the shade fabric to the frame with then nylon string and it started working properly.

I am glad it was not motor related.

Whats going on with you sunshade? When you press the button, do it even attempt to move? Could it be power/fuse related ?

It used to make noise after the shade was lowered or raised like the motor was still going for about ten seconds. Now it just does not work at all. I want to get my windows tinted but the shade is stuck in the up position. Nothing happens at all when I press the button. I'm pretty sure the motor is dead on it.

Yeah. That noise was the final groans. That motor is pretty easy to source used.

My window shade on my 430 is stuck in the all the way down position, what's the easiest way to get it free, I hear the motor moving it, but it's stuck. Anyone else had this problem?
