So its been few months since i picked up the LS430. the pads are good but the front rotors seems to be just a little warped.... So the question i have is for you guys here is when you changed your brakes did you just went with the stock set up? i am looking at these options by order

1)stock pads and stock rotors

2)StopTech Drilled & Slotted Rotors with Stock pads

3)EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors/ stock pads or EBC pads

Any suggestions? are well come

I would like to get little bit more grabbing power but i am really ok with stock set up. I know i cant re surface the slotted rotors, dont care about that i usually change the whole set up

Looks like some quality options on there. I think the ebc ultimax rotors and redstuff pads would be a nice aggressive street setup. The reviews online looks pretty good and price is reasonable. That's the combo I'll be trying when it's time to replace.

I did Brembo OE style rotors and stock pads......more than enough for this car. Some of those are good options as well, just not needed necessarily

What's the size on the OEM rotors? Also, how big can one go with the oem wheels on a 04 UL? I'm going to be getting bigger wheels but I like to go back to oem for winter months.

For brakes, I personally would stick with OEM stock. Its good stuff - runs quiet and clean, works great and lasts. I have used Irontoad for front and rear pads with no issues. OEM parts at good prices (I have no affiliation).

I like those black EBC rotors.

I was going to order a custom set of rotors from Adamsrotors. They're a vendor on here and have good prices.

could not find any front brembo OE style rotors, at least for sale anywhere. They are all rears

just so you know drilled and slotted rotors make a "Vroom" noise when stopping..
From what o'rielly auto parts has told me they are capable of resurfacing drilled and slotted.. BUT i have not tried

I have cross drilled rotors all around. Today I'm changing the front rotors - they are done. Lasted for over 4 years and two sets of brake pads. Replacing with Brembo OEM rotors and OEM pads.
It is correct, drilled rotors do make vroom sound when braking and the more you push the pedal the louder this vroom sound gets. After awhile it gets annoying.

that's kinda of annoying- in that case i will sticking to oem, I never had noises coming out out ISF brakes those were drilled?

I just did the same thing , I actually ordered some aftermarket pads and my mechanic told me before installation hes had complaints about the noise they make ,,so I returned them and starting looking around for high end aftermarket.

In the end I just ordered from the dealer, I don't have time to experiment with aftermarket brakes.
