Default simple question - transmission pan drain and fill

I have read the sticky but my question remains ...
I asked it in another thread, but it was not answered ...

So ......
Could someone please explain to me how new transmission fluid is put into the LS's "sealed transmission" ? I saw the drain plug on the bottom, so removing the bolt will drain it, but I did not see how the new fluid would be put in ? There is another plug on the pan, but it is the same height as the drain bolt. There must be something I am missing.

I had my car in a independent shop today AND HE HAD THE WS FLUID TO DO THE JOB and the mechanic didn't know how to add the new fluid so we didn't drain it.

If someone here knows the answer, please tell me. I want to do a drain and fill 3 or 4 times and don't want to pay Lexus $170 for each drain and fill.

Thanks

I actually have never been under my car to look at the tranny and now am a little concerned. I hope you figure all this out... Maybe I'll put it up on ramps and take a look later this afternoon. I always assumed/heard that there was some kind of cover that had to be removed to get at the drain and fill bolts. Good luck.

I'd like to know this too for the 04's and on.. I'm going to do this on my friend's 06. The fluid change on the 02(mine) is so easy it makes me laugh out loud. If you can change your motor oil then you should never pay someone else to do the tranny fluid. IMO

I did an ATF fluid drain and fill (about 3.5 quarts) on wife's 2007 Highlander Limited this winter - so easy...doesn't even need a jack or stands. I think it took 30 min and I was going slow.

I'd love for someone on the forum to document an ATF drain and fill on the 04-06 LS430 with pictures. I may do it this summer if no one else beats me to it.
