Question Will 235/55/18 or 235/50/18 tires fit the LS430???

I am very glad that I have the CL package with the 18 in wheel package. I am a Realtor and on most of our roads it is very non Lexus like. My Mich. are just about ready to be replaced and wanted to know if this size will clear everything in the front when turning.
I know that I will lose some handling but smoothness is what makes me the money. ANY help would be appreciated, Next tire is the Continental extreme DWS

OEM 245/45/18 26.7 in

235/55/18 28.2 in

235/50/18 27.2

Yeah. They'll fit. I would try to downsize to a 16" rim from the 01-02 or the LS400 rims (16"). I just got a set off CL from a LS400 owner. The fit perfectly. Though they are not nearly as nice looking. I'm running an offize 225/65R16 vs the OEM 16 of 225/60R16.

I also have a set of 235/50R18's as well. The tires have room from the deep wheel well to accommodate the extra diameter. Usually you want to stay within the 3 of the original overall diameter for safety, handling, and braking (possible failure?) issues.

Also, some shops won't install off spec OEM tires.

Generally, the 16" would be your best bet for smoothing out the ride. They also carry more air therefore less stiff = more comfort and less crisp handling.

430THUNDER - I am very interested in the configuration of your car. From the information I have, the Sport package was not offered with the CL (or UL) selection.
If you could check, it would be helpful to know if you have the headlight washers on the top of the front bumper (which indicates either a CL or UL car) AND the "Sport" placards just in front of the front doors on both sides (which indicates the Sport package).
Thanks for the information.

Gene01...There was a Sport option for $250 that was for 18in wheels that were polished or $2500 for Chrome. This does not refer to Sport Suspension...Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the clarification.

The 18" wheels were separate options (not, as far as I know, referred to as "Sport" options):
FT ($220 '06:$800) 18” Wheels = P245/45R18 W-rated All-season tires
FK ($1920) 18” Chrome Wheels = 18” x 7.5” alloy chrome wheels with All-season tires

The Sport Packages were as follows:
SP ($220 '06:800) Sport Package (N/A with CL or UL)
Euro-tuned Sport Suspension
Springs
Shocks
Front lower control arm bushings
Rear sway bar bushings
Rear sway bar - 1 mm thicker
18” polished-finish alloy wheels with P245/45R18 tires

SX ($1920 $2500) Sport Package with Chrome Wheels (N/A with CL or UL)
Includes: SP Euro-tuned Sport Suspension
18” Chrome Wheels

When the car was loaded with 4 people was the carry weight capacity of the 430 exceeded? it's 900 lbs max load i believe. i'm just a bit curious. also, the tire psi usually should be upped around 5psi or more when carrying near max load under my research.

thanks.
