Question?my trunk lid opens but somtimes it only opens a small amount, not enough to open completely.I inspected the mecinsim and it appears that the rubber stop could be worn on one side and not be pushing the spring all the way to clear the latch.Can i just pick up a new rubber part? thanks

Any luck on this? My trunk doesn't pop up either. Wasn't sure if that is by design or not. It opens, but is really heavy until the shocks engage and push it up.

I thought it was standard by design. my trunk unlocks and pops up slightly but i need to raise the trunk lid. i replaced my trunk struts recently as well. would be interested to hear or see what the original design is supposed to work.

Correct. The trunk does not lift on its own. Just pops up a little when unlocked and the rest is manual.

its the little rubber stopper thats causing it to not pop up enough to unlatch. If you look at that stopper, its oval shapped. Mine had loosened up and spun to the point that it wasnt making full contact. I spun it back and the trunk opens correctly again.
