This never happened to me but there are 2 brake sensors. Did u replace both? And this could be a stupid question but did u just replace sensor without changing pads?? Lol

I changed brake pads when I got my first LS430 and brake wear sensor would stay on after I changed bc I only replaced 1 front sensor. After I put in 2nd rear sensor, I was fine.

I see, but did u just replace 1 sensor or 2?

Also, your ABS light shouldn't be flashing unless the pads weren't installed correctly or maybe u have a bad ABS sensor.. I could be wrong

Would hooking up a diagnostic scan tool tell you which brake sensors would need to be replaced.....whether just one or both?

no it wont. you need to remove the wheel and remove the sensor from caliper to see if the circuit is cut from brake wear.

The brake sensors are just dumb wire loops that show a short when the wire loop is cut by the pad wearing. It is a very primitive warning "system". The brake sensor does not even have to be installed on the brakes as long as loop is intact it will not show fault even if it is zip tied to a shock. As long as loop is intact it will not fault the brake wear warning circuit. Check to see if the brake sensor is solidly connected to the wiring harness plug. If the brake sensor loop is intact there will be no brake wear warning light. Th individual brake wear sensors have nothing to do with ABS system.

I believe that it is an "open" rather than a "short" when indicating worn pads.

I repaired my sensor by just soldering a jumper across the worn away wire. All has been good for several years. Lots cheaper than replacing. When the brakes were enuf to wear away the soldered wire, I will replace the pads and solder a new jumper.
