Ok, ive read what seems like 500 pages of posts on replacing the motors in the door lock actuators rather than replacing the whole assembly. Ive got a bit confused on a few things after reading what seems to be contradictory info.

This is for an 01 LS430

Is this the correct part #- FC-280PC-22125?

Is it the round shaft or D shaped shaft that has the flat spot?

Is it the long shaft or short?

thanks bro, that's actually the exact one I was looking at. I read where other people bought the round shaft and took a grinder to it to flatten it down, not sure why they just didnt buy it that way.

Worked perfect for me, just remember to use the zip tie even tho it feels secure or you'll be opening the door again.

CarbonGS helped me replace the motor last night and I used that exact one from Amazon. No modifications needed and works like a dream again!

I still have my motors sitting in a drawer. I had one acting up when I first purchased the car and then it stopped giving me problems. Great to know it works good for you. The UL and CL cars with easy close you don't have to cut, glue, or zip tie anything from what I understand. ML and base cars the mechanism is slightly different. Take any pics?

You are correct. The actuator is held together with screws (there is a seal as well) so I did not have to ziptie the casing. Unfortunately I did not take any pics since CarbonGS was doing the work I didn't want to slow him down and be in his way lol.

for the ones that you have to zip tie, are you gluing it and zip tying, or just the zip ties?

Mainly zip tie. You can always glue in a few places too.

just finished the front two doors, everything went silky smooth.....works perfectly now. I didnt need the gear puller tool that others recommended. Mine just slid onto the gear and done.
