HELP - Switched from air to steel suspension
Now "HEIGHT HI" warning illuminated. What happened? I know that the strut actuators were removed, by my belief is that these switch the strut's damping mode to sport, and have nothing to do with ride height.
It would help if I could point these guys in the right direction...
(will post thoughts on steel coils vs. air in other posts when I've gotten these bugs worked out)
TIA.

OK. Took the car back to the shop for a few days, and now not only do i have the HEIGHT HI warning, but also VSC warning cycling on the dash & TRAC OFF (and won't come back on).
The main airsus fuse is intact, and the compressor fuse is removed.
This thing is like driving a christmas tree with all of the warning lights. Gotta get to the bottom of this. B/C I cannot stand to drive it, and no one in their right mind would buy it.
Any help would be apopreciated!

I've been told that all is intact & that if I ever needed to return to air all that's necessary is to install air shocks & reconnect the compressor's fuse.

The faq sticky mentions this. Some info on the last page too.

No warning light or message what so ever, like I said before, all I did was pull the air compressor's fuse, so the air compressor is disabled now. I am guessing if I unplug or pull the air suspension ECU's fuse, that would trigger some kind of warning light or message. All I care is to disable the air compressor, so this is good enough for me. The air suspension ECU can think all he wants The air compressor's fuse is in the fuse box right next to the battery in the engine compartment. Look in the back of the fuse box cover to see the location of the fuse, it is the 2nd small one from the right.

I converted mine over a few years ago and I have not had any lights come on as a result. Like a few others said, I left all sensors electrically connected but just took out the compressor fuse and it works like a charm.

Could you send a photo of the fuse? or at least quote the amperage? size of fuse?
