Hello,

Is there any way to make the 2003 Lexus LS430 gear shifts a bit snappier and quicker to downshift?

Would this require software programming or mechanical modifications? The reason that I am asking is that I had a dodge pickup that I put a Transgo shift kit into and really like it. Shifts were much firmer and it made it very easy and quick to downshift.

I see here that there's a Transgo shift kit (SK-A650) for the 2001-2003 LS430s on the Transgo website:

Has anyone tried this?

I realize that these cars aren't supposed to be super sporty, just wondering what can be done.

Haven't done it personally as I have the six speed A761E, but my old is300's A650E was fully built from the valve body and clutch packs to the sprag gear.

Might want to check out IPT, PFS or SRT.

leave the tranny as is change fluid every 30k,
best tranny ever made don't mess with perfection
