Air to Springs -- OEM or KYB Mounting Parts??
OK, so I've nailed down the details of replacing my failing air suspension with springs & struts.
I've decided to go with the Tanabe springs & KYB struts. I've read different threads mentioning possibly going with OEM mounting gear for the struts. I'm unclear as to why. If KYB makes the OEM struts, do they not also supply the OEM mounting hardware? What is the rationale here?
I'd love some feedback on this before I actually order the parts. I am currently in the process of locating a shop to complete the work.

Just get the KYB strut mounts. No reason to get OEM mounts. They a simple units with a rubber mount. They don't tend to wear out until 200k miles.
Tanabe makes a good springs. Just be ready for about 40% increase in stiffness. This is what I experienced when I put them in my LS400. Made the car handle great but too a little firm for my daily liking.
Check this out too:

Or check out the OEM sport springs:

Rough road package raises the car a little. The Sport springs have slightly high spring rates.
