IS it worth buying a used Lexus (or any high end) out of warranty?

Posted here. Try the German forums full of engine,transmission and electrical failures costing megabucks to fix and you'll see any crying about the 430 issues is laughable at best

my goodness that is a cheap looking dash. Granted, the materials might be top notch..i don't know. But the design itself is surprisingly cheap looking....i hope that isn't typical Benz
IMO there's no comparison with the LS400.

I was scared to buy a used Range Rover but I ran into a guy last night who is the original owner of his 06 HSE and hasn't had any problems with it that were major. It looked pretty nice and it had 200K miles on it. But yes out of all the luxury cars Lexus holds the lead with dependability. I was tempted to buy a 7 series BMW but I ran into a guy who has owned a mechanic shop that ONLY works on BMW and Benz's. He told me they break all the time and business is good for him. haha
