'05 LS 430 Squeaky/Grinding Vent Noise When Turning Left Only
I have a 2005 LS 430 recently purchased w 48k with a weird problem. Car is otherwise in great shape. Got it from a dealer w full lexus warranty.
When I turn the wheel to the left while driving (ie making a Left turn at a light or going around a traffic circle) a mild grinding/squeaky noise comes from what seems like the a/c vents. Does not happen if I turn right. A/c system works otherwise blowing cold. Happens at all speeds AC off or on and when swingers are on or off. When I center the steering wheel after the turn the noise goes away.
I've searched the FAQ and previous posts without luck -- so I apologize if this has been discussed before. The LS has been a excellent peforming car thus far except for this weird issue. Would like some feedback before I go in for warranty service. Thank you!!

This does not apply if the noise is really coming from the vents, but the symptom - a grinding, etc. sound when turning in one direction - is very indicative of a bad wheel bearing.
