19" rims on the air suspenion vs comfort
I just don't want to kill the ride again like I did in my LS400. I picked up this set of RonJon 19's of CL before I purchased the LS430. My 430 came with brand new Michelin's on the chrome 17's. I was going to swap them but I am still hesitant. I don't know.... I know they will look better but I will be a 245/40 r19 vs 225/55 r17. I guess that is better then a 35 sidewall with a 20" rim. I also have the center bore adapters for Lexus. Had to order them from England. Weird that no one had them in the U.S.
The other thought is I just sell these. Opinions on how they will look?

Here in England these split-spoke wheels seem quite common now, albeit not in a chrome finish. I don't mind their sporty looks.
I went down from 18" to 17" alloys on my LS430 in search of a better ride.
It's hard to advise on what I think is a very personal choice.

What is the weight per wheel? Add in the tire weight then factor the stiffer sidewall of 19" rubber. One way to counter is with less sporty A/S and touring type tires. There are more choices since rim sizes are larger but you will trade to get a softer sidewall. 18" would tend to be a more compliant ride with appropriate tires.

I don't know if they will look so good either. Especially, if I don't lower the car. RonJon makes wheels for Acura and Honda, which I found out after the fact. I got them for a great price so I'm not worried about making a little money on them. Maybe a photoshop request is in order.
Few examples.

Brand new Michelins on stock 17's?
Sell the Ron Jon wheels asap.
Head over to acurazine, I'm sure there are some Acura guys who would want them.

Yeah, I'm feeling the same way. Anybody want to buy some 19's... Their actually nice wheels. They retailed for $435 each. Not heavy and well constructed. But I know deep down I'm going to hate that 40 sidewall. Even worse, a 35. "like a rock". I think 45 is the minimum sidewall I'm willing to accept, which means 18's... again. Just like my ole' 400. I miss her at times... I wonder who has her now? "Are you out there? We parted ways 480 miles from home. It was kind of a hurried goodbye. She was a great 400. Plenty of life left in her. Somebody got a well taken care of car. Good for them!
